어바인 드림교회 성도님들께…
University 연합감리교회에서의 사역을 시작하며, 여러 목회들의 지원과 협조를 받아서 함께 사역함에 깊은 감사의 마음을 전합니다. 지난 7월 8일 여러분 모두와 함께 예배를 드리고 여러분들을 만날 수 있음에 깊은 감사를 드립니다. 성령의 충만함을 느끼는 귀한 주일이었습니다. 하나님의 형상으로 창조된 우리 모두는 사랑받는 자녀이며, 삼위일체(성부, 성자, 성령)이신 하나님의 사랑을 기념할 때, 우리는 하나님의 사랑을 경험할 수 있다고 믿습니다. 하나의 교회 안에 3개의 언어로 함께 예배 드리는 여러분들과의 목회는 예수 그리스도를 통한 하나님 구원의 위대함을 다시 한번 상기시켜줍니다. 제가 아직 이 교회에 온 지 얼마 되지 않았지만, 여러분들과 함께 동역하는 사역에 대해서 듣고 확인했습니다. 저는 우리 모두가 계속해서 믿음 안에서 하나님의 은혜를 경험하며 “세상을 변화시키는 제자 만들기”를 함께 실현시켜 나가게 될 줄 확신합니다. 원홍연 목사는 영적으로 여러분들을 인도하고 헌신적이고 은사가 있는 지도자입니다. 제가 사역하는 동안 여러분들과 여러분들의 담임 목사에게 최선을 다해서 협력하도록 하겠습니다.

Greetings Irvine DREAM Korean Church! It is a privilege to join the University United Methodist Church and support all the ministries that take place here, and it was a true blessing to meet many of you at the 9:30am worship and celebration on my first Sunday, July 8th. What an amazing day, filled with the Holy Spirit! As beloved children of God, created in divine image, I believe we encounter the Lord’s love reflected best when we celebrate the God’s own diversity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Sharing in ministry with you as one congregation who worships in three languages (this phrase came out of a Vision & Strategy meeting) reminds us of the vastness of God’s redeeming love through Jesus Christ. While my season at UUMC is still quite young, I am already assured of the great partnership in ministry we share together. I am confident that we can continue to experience God’s grace, and in faith, “make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” Pastor Brandon is a gifted and devoted leader to guide you spiritually, and please know that I am here to support him, and you, as best as I can.
